BUCKLAND SHOW TRUE GRIT!
Report by Martin Underwood
After a resounding 4-1 win at St Cyres earlier in the season, the weather made it much tougher in the home return.
St Cyres, to their credit, got to grips with the conditions early on and by half-time were a little unfortunate not to be leading by more than the 2-0 scoreline.
The beginning of the second-half continued in much the same fashion as the first, until midway through the half when a good build up on the left led to Trevor Webber slotting home from ten yards.
For so long, the Buckland game seemed to

it's usual bite, but now rejuvenated, they pressed forward to earn a point that seemed to have evaded them.
It was with great relief when Simon 'Olly' Olford scored an excellent individual effort with just ten minutes of the game remaining.

BUCKS LACK ANY FIZZ!
Report by Martin Underwood
Disaster struck within two minutes of the kick-off when London & Manchester scored with a terrific strike.
Worse was to come as first Trevor Webber (sprained ankle) and later, his replacement, 'Billy' Holmes (re-occuring knee injury) limped off after some tough, 50-50 challenges.
To rub salt into the wounds, London and Manchester added a second after a scramble in the box.
At half-time Bucks manager, Roy Holmes, called for more composure from his young side and they replied with an 'Olly' Olford special in the 57th minute.
Any chances of a fightback were quoshed ten minutes later when a superb volley flashed past 'Sammy' Searle into the roof of the net.

PREMIER SIDE BURY BUCKS!
Report by Martin Underwood
For the second time in as many games, Buckland hardly had time to settle from the kick-off before they found themselves a goal down
Within 20 mins. they were two-down when the defence failed to make a positive clearance from a cross from the left.
