About MegaBUCK$
MegaBUCK$ was the original monthly club fanzine of Buckland Athletic FC - formerly a junior club formed in 1977, who by 1987/88 were playing in the Devon and Exeter League.
A brainchild of Martin Underwood in 1989, he began to write and edit the very first club fanzines for the 1989/90 season. Each publication (printed in black and white) provided news and information about the club and it's players plus other football-related articles, puzzles and competitions.
At first the early editions centred mainly around the First Team with Martin writing match reports from the bench or touchline. But before long junior team managers and coaches started to send in their match reports and club event notices.
Sadly, only six issues were printed (from November 1989 to May 1990) but it was favourably received within the club and it was to be the fore-runner of todays award-winning club magazine.
1989:
The original fanzine - edited on a typewriter, photocopied with fewer photographs in black and white.
2015:
The fanzine as it might have been today - edited and printed with full colour photographs on a computer.
